A four-month reconstruction
Black Bullet: New World Order begins November 10 with two books, followed by two more on December 10, January 8 and February 10. The schedule turns the original seven volumes into eight books, including split editions of later installments, and gives each one new cover art from illustrator Saki Ukai. KADOKAWA describes the fifth pair as a complete rewrite of the old volume seven. The relaunch is therefore not a cosmetic anniversary edition: readers are being asked to follow a revised version of the existing narrative before it advances beyond the point where publication stopped.
Why the twelve-year gap matters
The last original Black Bullet volume appeared in July 2014, leaving the light novel dormant even as its television adaptation preserved a fan audience. KADOKAWA now explicitly says the rewritten sequence will lead into a new story arc, which changes the project from an archival rerelease into a continuation plan. The publisher has not yet shown how extensively earlier events will change, whether the new arc will begin in a separate numbered book, or how quickly it will follow the February pair. Those limits keep the return concrete without pretending that the entire future schedule is fixed.
The anime marathon is a bridge, not a sequel
ABEMA will air all twelve television episodes on October 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Japan time and leave them free for two weeks afterward. That provides a low-friction recap before the books restart, but it is not evidence of a new anime production. KADOKAWA has announced publication dates, rewritten material and a continuation of the novels only. The next decisive information will be the first fully new volume's date and an explanation of what the rewrite changes for readers who own or remember the earlier editions.
