TV Tokyo has moved Black Clover's second television season from a general October window to a Saturday, October 3 premiere at 11 p.m. JST on the TV Tokyo network and other Japanese broadcasters. ONE OR EIGHT will perform the ending theme, Yellow Brick Road, and Avex has scheduled the song's digital release for October 7. ORICON additionally reports that three special programs will air before the season, although the accessible broadcaster page does not yet describe their subjects or dates. The official pages still do not provide a full country-by-country streaming timetable.
Why the date carries unusual weight
The earlier Black Clover television run aired 170 episodes before ending in March 2021, so this is not an ordinary between-cours restart. The franchise returned with the 2023 film Sword of the Wizard King, but the new season resumes the serial television format that built its audience. The exact date therefore settles the most immediate uncertainty left by the previous October announcement and gives returning viewers less than a month to use the official Road to 2nd Season recap campaign. It also places the premiere almost nine years to the day after the original anime began on October 3, 2017.
What viewers still need to know
The Japanese broadcast plan does not answer every access question. No complete international simulcast list, territory map, subtitle schedule or dub timetable appears in the cited announcements, and the episode count and release structure remain unstated. Yellow Brick Road's role is confirmed, but the three reported advance specials still need individual schedules and formats before viewers can plan around them.
