Abrams collects all 23 Simpsons Treehouse of Horror comics in one 1,232-page box set

Abrams ComicArts will release the three-hardcover Ominous Omnibus box set October 13 for US$125, bringing the full run together for the first time with a glow-in-the-dark slipcase, three prints and a poster. AIPT separately reports a US$350 Abrams-exclusive edition limited to 500 copies, each signed by Matt Groening with an original sketch in volume one.

Alex Ross reveals Marvel Dimensions shifts from painted origins to an inserted 32-page ink comic

In an August 26 Publishers Weekly interview, Ross and Abrams editorial director Charles Kochman explained that the first half retells origins in painted two-page spreads, from the original Human Torch through Jean Grey as Phoenix. The book then changes into a pen-and-ink narrative held in a separate 32-page comic physically bound into the hardcover, with the reason for that change intentionally unrevealed before publication in September.
