SAG-AFTRA, Cameo and major talent agencies back safeguards against unauthorized performer AI replicas
The groups issued a joint statement on August 26 supporting protection of names, voices, likenesses and creative work in AI-generated content. Cameo says performers retain ownership of submitted videos, its policies prohibit unauthorized AI deepfakes, and it does not train digital replicas on talent videos without permission. The statement does not create a law, collective agreement or independently audited enforcement system.
