Independent Film Company and Sapan Studio acquire North American rights to hand-drawn animated film Tangles
The companies announced the acquisition on August 27 ahead of the film's North American premiere in TIFF's Centrepiece program in Toronto. They plan a select Oscar-qualifying theatrical run in 2026 followed by a broader expansion in early 2027, but have not disclosed exact cinemas, dates, market count, financial terms or a home-entertainment plan.
