Netflix and Skydance Animation end their film deal as Cosmic Motors moves to Paramount theaters
Netflix and Paramount jointly said they mutually ended the animated-film agreement while keeping Brad Bird's Ray Gunn and the untitled Jack and the Beanstalk project on Netflix and continuing their broader content-licensing relationship. TheWrap reports that John Lasseter and Louie del Carmen's Cosmic Motors, previously intended for Netflix, is now planned for a Paramount theatrical rollout in 2027. The statement does not identify the destination of other Skydance Animation projects.
