Spencer Spirit completes its acquisition of Hot Topic, BoxLunch and Her Universe
Spencer Spirit Holdings completed the acquisition from Sycamore Partners on September 2. The three brands will keep their California headquarters and operate independently from Spencer’s and Spirit; Hot Topic chief executive Steve Vranes remains in charge and reports to Spencer Spirit chief executive Steven Silverstein. Purchase price, store closures, license changes and integration targets were not disclosed.
