Absolute Green Arrow artist Rafael Albuquerque details a flexible collaboration and graphite-heavy visual style
In an August 29 FAN EXPO Canada interview, Albuquerque described the book as a horizontal collaboration in which he and Pichetshote can change story or art ideas. He said the freedom feels creator-owned despite the DC brand, a comparison about working conditions rather than legal ownership. Albuquerque is using graphite pencils of different densities and hues for a grainy look connected to his American Vampire ink washes and 1970s–1980s horror films.
