Anime San Diego launches its first convention September 5–6 with cosplay, games and panels
The inaugural event opens in halls E–H of the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, United States. Its program includes karaoke, free video and arcade gaming, several panel zones, a trading-card arena, an adult cosplay contest Saturday at 6 p.m. and a children's contest Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets are sold online and at the door; online prices rise at Friday midnight.
