Fansplaining documents rising Artist Alley table costs and tighter acceptance pressure
Fansplaining published a September 17 analysis based on the author's convention attendance since 2012, vending since 2018 and interviews with U.S. artists. The author reports that an Anime NYC table rose from US$245 in 2019 to US$400 in 2024 and had to be split three ways. Artist and event organizer Faiell says tables once expected at US$100–300 can now reach US$600–700 while acceptance has become exceptionally competitive. These are named examples and testimony, not a comprehensive national price series.
