Big Brother airs its 1,000th U.S. primetime episode and receives two Guinness World Records titles
CBS says the live August 27 episode became the show's 1,000th primetime installment and included certificates for the most episodes of a primetime television show and of a competitive reality television show. Fan-voted former houseguests appeared and a new in-season twist began; CBS also reports a 5.21-million seven-day multiplatform average.
