Pink says her Macklemore repost did not call for censorship or his removal from Ed Sheeran's tour

Pink said September 12 that reposting a message about Macklemore did not mean she wanted another artist silenced or fired. She said concern for Jewish concertgoers motivated her response and that part of her explanation disappeared when comments were disabled; neither Ed Sheeran nor tour organizers have announced a lineup change.

Israeli-American Council petitions to remove Macklemore from Ed Sheeran’s remaining Loop Tour dates

After Macklemore used his September 4–5 opening sets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States, to call for a free Palestine and perform Hind’s Hall against images from Gaza and the West Bank, the Israeli-American Council circulated a petition asking Sheeran, venues and tour stakeholders to remove him from future dates. It also asked whether the content had advance approval. The petition shows no public signature count, and no response or lineup change was confirmed.
