GalaxyCon San Jose opens with three cosplay contests and rentable storage for costumes and props
The convention runs August 28–30 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, United States. The owner schedules runway and adults-only After Dark contests Friday, a Saturday craftsmanship competition with more than US$2,500 in prizes, and a Sunday masquerade with more than US$1,000 in prizes. First-floor lobby lockers operate 2 p.m.–midnight Friday, 10 a.m.–midnight Saturday and 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday, with listed daily prices of US$15–US$35.
