Persona 4 Revival rebuilds Inaba for a free camera while keeping its story and dialogue intact
General producer Kazuhisa Wada said the story, characters and themes remain unchanged, while environments were rebuilt from the ground up for a player-controlled camera, changing light, weather and visible detail. Event scenes also receive new staging, facial animation, body language and timing without replacing the original dialogue.

Sega said on August 26 that Gamescom hosts the first public Persona 4 Revival demo. Its three sections cover the opening, modernized dungeon exploration and a press-only daily-life segment; the latter demonstrates a new Prime Time meter that enables coordinated, combo-heavy attacks.
