Chrissie Hynde says she joined the Pretenders documentary to reclaim the band's story and credit James Honeyman-Scott
At TIFF on September 13, Hynde said she agreed to the new Pretenders documentary because other people were already telling the band's story and she wanted Honeyman-Scott's influence recognized. She declined filmed interviews, so director Joss Crowley built the film around audio interviews, restored first-tour footage and former tour manager Stan Tippins's diaries.
