San Japan 17 sets 300-plus artists, four cosplay classes and 65,000 square feet of gaming
A September 1 San Antonio Express-News preview reports more than 300 Artist Alley creators, over 65,000 square feet of gaming, an Itasha car show and youth, novice, journeyman and master cosplay classes. Guests include Sonic voice actor Roger Craig Smith, Princess Zelda performer Patricia Summersett, voice actor Cristina Vee, Evangelion singer Yoko Takahashi and virtual entertainer Ironmouse. Admission was reported from $38.34; the organizer's 32,000-attendee figure for last year was not independently audited.
