Tales of Wonder creator Steve Skroce frames his convention satire as a broken-friendship story
Ahead of Tales of Wonder's September 2 launch, Skroce said the comic follows two estranged fictional creators whose reunion collides with a commercialized convention world. A friendship ended after one of his own ideas was taken helped shape the grievance, but he explicitly rejects reading the pair as disguised versions of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
