Tetris CEO Maya Rogers says its nonviolent licence changed Fortnite blocks from damage to healing and cover
In an interview published August 28, Rogers said an early version of the Fortnite collaboration made falling Tetriminos damage players. She says the rights holder required the crossover to remain nonviolent and beneficial, so released blocks clear lines to heal players and can act as protective cover. The Sunken Shores area also includes transformations that turn a player or nearby players into Tetriminos. Rogers did not disclose contract wording, fees, broader approval rights or a confirmed follow-up.
