Wonder Studios expands in Los Angeles around a shared-IP model for filmmakers
A September 16 company release republished by National Law Review and Headliner says Wonder hired former CAA media-finance agent Inder Gill to lead studio partnerships and packaging and former Fanfix co-chief Ryan Ascencio to lead growth in Los Angeles. Wonder says 90% of its revenue comes from U.S. clients and that it has raised more than US$15 million; those figures are not independently audited. The expansion follows the Los Angeles premiere of Jidenna's KITA and Junie Lau's Goldfish Mayhem, projects the company uses to demonstrate shared creator ownership. No ownership percentage or standard contract is public.
