Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO sets an April 2027 television-anime launch for Japan and North America

The official Gundam site announced on September 14 that Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO will launch in Japan and North America in April 2027 and identified the project as a television animation. Japan's MANTANWEB also reports an April television start. Director and series composer Kenji Kamiyama returns in a newly released interview, while SOLA ANIMATION produces and Takeo Otsuka voices protagonist Ray Azumi. No exact date, broadcaster, episode count or platform has been named, and the official notice says information for other regions will follow.

After War Gundam X sends scenes from all 39 episodes to anniversary displays across Japan from September 14

Bandai Namco Filmworks announced on September 7 that the Gundam X wa Itsumo Soko ni Aru campaign will place a scene from each of the anime's 39 episodes at locations across Japan beginning September 14. A separate fan-photo campaign runs through September 30 and awards one of three A5 poster designs to 30 residents of Japan. The page also sets January 26, 2027 for the A.W. 30th Chronicle record book and March 26 for a limited reissue of the 2018 memorial Blu-ray box; it does not announce new animation or an overseas activation.

After War Gundam X reunites its director and designers for two Tokyo anniversary screenings on September 27

TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro in Tokyo, Japan, will host 3:00 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. screenings on September 27. Episodes 1, 14, 29 and 39 plus the short Boy and Gundam will screen, with director Shinji Takamatsu, character designer Seiho Nishimura and mechanical designer Junya Ishigaki joining talks moderated by Garrod voice actor Wataru Takagi. Tickets cost 3,800 yen; lottery entry runs through September 17.

The second Gundam Hathaway film joins Prime Video's subscription tier in Japan

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe became available August 31 through Prime Video's subscription tier in Japan, following domestic digital rental and purchase access that began August 17. The official production notice describes the subscription window as a Japan-exclusive Prime Video release and does not establish availability abroad or a physical-media date.

Odaiba's life-size Unicorn Gundam holds its final ceremony before the Tokyo display ends August 31

Fans gathered in the rain on August 29 for the installation's final ceremony at DiverCity's Festival Plaza. Composer Hiroyuki Sawano and singer SennaRin performed, and the statue joined a special WALL-G projection presentation; the official schedule still ends the public exhibition on August 31 after eight years and eleven months, with no removal timetable or replacement announced.
