Bandai Spirits will open its first western-Japan plastic-model factory in November

HOBBY Watch reported that Bandai Spirits will begin operating Bandai Hobby Center Osaka in Sakai, Osaka, Japan, in November. The 3,360.85-square-metre facility at Mitsui Fudosan Logistics Park Sakai is the company's first plastic-model production base in western Japan and is planned to house seven multicolour moulding machines. Western port access is intended to shorten logistics routes, but no product-level output, retail allocation or export-volume commitment has been announced.

ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet brings its 400-character restaurant simulation to Switch, PC and mobile October 23

Bandai Namco announced the international edition June 9 for an October 23 release on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Steam, iOS and Android. The Japanese edition, titled ONE PIECE Sea Feast Restaurant, launches on the two Switch systems October 22 and on PC and mobile October 23. The game advertises more than 400 characters and more than 200 furniture and building items; this is late coverage of a still-prospective release, not a new September announcement.

My Hero Academia: All's Justice reaches Switch 2 in North America September 4 with GameShare and Pac-Man modes

Bandai Namco's North American Switch 2 edition launches September 4 with GameShare online battles through GameChat. A new Minigame mode gives Class 1-A students several score challenges, including a Pac-Man collaboration, and the physical copy has reversible art by bones film. The game already exists on PS5, Xbox Series and PC; regional storefront timing may differ.

Ace Combat 8 reveals a 100-player Air Base and cross-platform co-op, PvPvE and competitive modes

Its online mode uses a social Air Base for up to 100 people, separate progression and saves, and cross-play. Co-Op Assault has two four-player teams race separate enemy forces for score; Co-Op Warfare lets those teams interfere amid NPC units; Emergency Sortie sends eight pilots against classic giant weapons, alongside 4v4 and eight-player deathmatch events. Deluxe early access starts September 28 before the October 2 launch.

GUNDAM-Con 2027 opens its first ticket lottery and publishes three days of Makuhari stage programming

Round-one applications are open through September 6 at 11:59 p.m. JST, with results on September 15, for entry to Makuhari Messe Halls 1-3 in Chiba, Japan. Adult tickets cost 5,000 yen and child tickets 3,000 yen under timed entry; the January 9-11 program now includes Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO stages, game and card events, model-kit programming, attendee benefits, creator-illustration sales linked to autographs and a JTB tour package, while separate numbered-stage-ticket rules remain pending.

Limbic says it kept all its game IP after Bandai Namco's sale and is narrowing projects around one audience

Communications manager Christopher Grünewald told GamesIndustry.biz that Limbic retained all its intellectual property, employs about 90 people and now operates without open-ended publisher funding. German public support helped finish Corsair Cove, which the studio reports sold 200,000 copies in under a month, retains roughly 700,000 Steam wishlists and has 85% positive reviews. After Park Beyond, Limbic says it is cutting scope and designing polished games for one target group.

Bandai Namco licenses PAC-MAN for a controller-free Nex Playground motion game due in Q3 2026

Nex and Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced on August 26 that Nex is developing PAC-MAN on Nex Playground for the third quarter of 2026. The living-room game turns chasing ghosts and collecting pellets into movement, dodging and competitive physical play. It will be offered through the separately sold Play Pass subscription; no exact date, standalone price or final feature list is available.
