Live-action Blue Lock film passes ¥1.2 billion in Japan and adds three Yusuke Nomura illustration cards

Cinema Today reported on September 7 that the film reached 838,360 admissions and ¥1,206,756,400 during its first 31 days, from August 7 through September 6. The manga has now passed 65 million copies in circulation. Beginning September 12, participating Japanese cinemas will distribute one of three randomly selected double-sided cards drawn by Nomura, pairing Isagi with Bachira, Chigiri with Kunigami, or Nagi with Reo. The film is rolling out in more than 30 overseas markets, but the report does not give a complete territory schedule or worldwide gross.

Kaiouki: Joden Ki began serialization in the October issue of Monthly Shonen Magazine, released in Japan on September 4. The first new Kaiouki series in sixteen years follows a younger Fan Gamma Bizen on an ordeal across an unnamed continent before he inherits the weapon called the Nihonto. No collected-volume schedule or international licence was announced.

Fungus and Iron manga ends September 9 as its anime reveals a second teaser visual

ORICON News reports that the manga's final chapter will appear in the October issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, on sale September 9. The anime production also released a second teaser visual showing Dante facing a giant enemy. Director Keitaro Motonaga says the adaptation aims to preserve the source's speed, scale and character growth, but no premiere date, broadcaster or streaming territories were announced.

Kodansha Game Creators' Lab added Bon to its support program and will publish the game on Steam in 2026. Players investigate rivals' memories, then assemble short-video thumbnails from gathered material; fictional audience likes determine which pair wins a pardon and which faces execution and an enforced android likeness. The page lists Japanese, English and Simplified Chinese text and illustrations by manga artist Junji Okada, but no date or price.
