The Apothecary Diaries opens free ABEMA marathons and five temporary commentary streams

ABEMA scheduled free full-season marathons for September 16 and 17, followed by one-week catch-up windows: season one remains free from 3:00 a.m. JST on September 17 through 2:59 a.m. on September 24, and season two from September 18 through September 25 at the same times. Five Blu-ray audio-commentary programs will stream on YouTube from September 19 to 23 and remain available through September 26. The offer is time-limited and tied to Japanese platforms; it does not establish free international access.

Netflix, Amazon and YouTube form a joint streaming lobby as U.S. sports-rights rules face review

TheWrap, following Axios and a TechNet statement, reports that Netflix, Amazon and YouTube launched the Streaming Access and Choice Alliance under TechNet. The group says it will advocate technology-neutral entertainment policy and continued investment in live sports and other programming. Its launch comes as the Justice Department and Federal Communications Commission consider the legal environment around pooled sports broadcasting rights, but the alliance has not published a detailed position on every proceeding.

YouTube reportedly offers about 15 creators up to US$10 million to keep videos away from Netflix

The Ankler reports, citing multiple unnamed sources, that YouTube is offering exclusivity windows to roughly 15 creators, with packages starting in the low seven figures and reaching about US$10 million. Sources also describe possible loss of Brandcast exposure, billboards or preferred advertising opportunities for creators who take work elsewhere. YouTube declined to comment; no signed agreement, exact named-creator terms or formal retaliation policy is confirmed.
