Tom Cruise announces a Days of Thunder sequel with Anne Hathaway for June 2028
Tom Cruise announced August 29 at Daytona International Speedway that he will return as Cole Trickle in a Days of Thunder sequel. Anne Hathaway will play a team owner and engineer, Paramount has set a June 2, 2028 theatrical release, and Jonathan Levine will direct Will Staples' screenplay; the film still has no confirmed final title or production-start date.
