Saber executive Tim Willits says flexible teams and smaller games help finance Space Marine 2-sized bets
Willits told PC Gamer that Saber spreads staff across projects of different sizes and can move people rather than leaving teams isolated on one game. He argued that studios with hundreds of people on a project before a vertical slice—a representative playable build proving the concept—will struggle. He said remasters and smaller releases can finance larger productions and cited SnowRunner as an experiment that began with one developer.
