Worms: The Director's Cut receives a free 30th-anniversary expansion

Creator Andy Davidson and fan collaborator Ben Paddon have released more than 40 levels, over 50 voice sample packs, 10 terrain sets, new teams, and browser tools for creating custom content. The expansion can also be played through emulation.

Slitherine's roadmap also lists a free update for October, another free update in early 2027, and a new playable faction in the second quarter of 2027. The campaign and faction have not yet been identified.

Marvel Tōkon launches with strong fights and significant PC performance problems

The game launched August 6 on PlayStation 5 and PC with 20 characters. Its first Steam weekend was affected by reported stuttering, frame drops, Linux incompatibility, and a required PlayStation Network login; the developers say they are investigating.

Quake adds a free 19-level campaign for its 30th anniversary

MachineGames has added Dawn of the Machine, a 19-level chapter with weapon variants including a lightning-charged Super Axe and a ricocheting Laser Cannon. The update also opens an archive of playable unfinished maps and other development material.
